Okam:Sun's Heavenly Child -Ame

Original/Fan character, Ame, for the awesomest game ever, Okami! I'm very suprised that the game isn't more popular O_o Thus I've been forcing all my friends to play it I love its blend of Japanese mythology and art.

(This is all based from how while Okami is based Japanese mythology, its not an exact following) Ame is the direct child of Amaterasu, embodying fire, heat, and the colours of dawn. When Amaterasu hide herself in the cave, it was to give birth to him. He appears in either this form or a phoenix form. He was the first emperor of Nippon and chose the family line that would follow him (I'm not sure if he was emperor before Orochi attacked the Heavens, or after they fell). While Amaterasu was asleep for the 100 years, Ame and Moegami (fire brush god) were captured and frozen, locked in Orochi's lair.

He's pretty close to Waka, the jewel on his forehead a gift from the moon prophet.

Ame is based off Ame-no-Oshihomimi, Amaterasu's son in Japanese mythology and the original person sent to settle the land that would be Japan. His son, Ninigi, is the first emperor. Ame-no-Oshiomimi is mentioned somewhat briefly, his son Ninigi is more well known/mentioned more. I thought he would be more interesting to base a character off of. With Okamiden coming out, though, I might create a Ninigi-based character ;D
